    • shown heading proximally along the ileum
  • 40. falciform ligament
    • remnant of the ventral mesentery
    • stabilizes liver to anterior abdominal wall
  • 41. lumbar artery
    • orthogonal and deep to lumbar sympathetic trunk
  • 42. lumbar sympathetic trunk
    • lumbar splanchnic
    • ramus communicans (gray)
  • 43. genitofemoral n.
    • psoas major
  • 44. lumbar splanchnic nerve
    • branches from anterior aspect of lumbar sympathetic trunk and proceeds anterior, inferior, and medial toward the aortic plexus
  • 45. ramus communicans (gray)
    • posterior branch from the lumbar sympathetic trunk
    • shown coursing posterior toward lumbar plexus
    • communicates between lumbar sympathetic trunk and lumbar spinal nerve
